Default Disposable dvd's/ Flex play Dvd's

the new disposable discs available at truck stops, has anyone bought, used, or watched these??
are they like real dvd's......
can i rip them like real dvd's????

yes, yes i know it's illegal, so are monopolies and price fixing.... but i'm tired of financing remakes of the movies and TV shows i grew up watching, just so 1 or 2, original and interesting movies can be made each year...

any input on the use of these discs would be appreciated.

did you TRY ripping it and with what software, or are you just repeating whats on the label?

I've yet to find a regular disc(non-disposable) that can't be ripped with the right software, wondering if anyone has actually tried ripping these?

For a bit more than the cost of those disposables, you get a dvd you can watch anytime you like. Why waste money trying to rip em?

This.

It's nothing to find cutouts for $5 or go to Blockbuster and similar places and buy their used stuff for about $7. Sure it takes some legwork to find a disc, but it's mine forever.

Because you can sell bootleg copies at truck stops.

TL...if your going to make money selling bootleg copies...why use one of those rip-off movies to make the copy?

If a guy is like me...has a ton of movies on VHS tape...he can go to CircutCity, BestBuy, WallyWorld..or any other compitent retailer of electronic equipment, and get a recorder to record those tapes to DVD..you can get a ton of good writeable DVD's for next to nothing..the cases to store then in are a bit more..but not that much more.

GMH...I was trying to make the exact point you did.

Those throw-away disc's are a ripoff.

You know all this is highly illegal. And we can discuss my cut of your profits to keep things on the DL.
