Numbers are wrong because of the method in which they are gathered. Numbers can be manipulated to offer a certain point of view. I'm sorry you think that is not the case.

The problem lies in the job of locating all the numbers for all the products. But I am sure the gov't has those numbers, and then simply "cherry pick" the items they want to make a much rosier picture.
But why would they leave out energy and food? Wow! "Cherry picking" information sounds familiar doesn't it?

I'm sorry Rev but seeing isn't always believing. Just because you see numbers it doesn't mean those numbers haven't been manipulated. It actually has nothing to do with math. Math isn't behind manipulation. I'm sorry you want to put your head in the sand and ass in the air.

The point I'm trying to get across is that you should not automatically believe what people say. Find out where they get their information for and how they come to such a conclusion.
All I said is that numbers can be manipulated to get across a persons agenda. 2+2 is still 4. But when you start gathering and formulating numbers on a grand scale and such importance as say inflation. Then I think everything needs to be taken into account.
