Now seems to be a good time to tell xm to dump the DJ

I have started paying the bill, after they cut the service.
Had a good little conversation, with a collector. He admitted they have a lot of complaints about those commercials they say they don't have. They also have a lot of complaints about the DJ, talking too much. The result is changes in the works - he said.... It almost sounded like they were going to be able to tailor the individual subscriber, to deal with these problems. He was not specific, nor definite. So, it takes about 30 minutes, to restore your service. Don't pay them until after they cut you off. They will call 2 to 6 weeks, before they cut you off. Tell them to dump the DJ, and the commercials they say they don't have.

Instead of not paying your bill and having it go to collections and having a possible ding against your credit score, why not just cancel the service and let them know why you are cancelling your service. I believe this is a much more effective way. They usually try to sell you on the positives on XM radio and try to give you free months to try it.

Agreed with jeremy, and to add, the collector really doesn't give a rat's rear-end as to why you haven't paid your bill. Their job is to get you to pay it no matter what. They will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to pay what is owed, whether it's the truth or not. Your best bet is to cancel and tell them why, or while you still have service call'em and tell'em how disappointed you are with their service and are going to cancel if it doesn't get taken care of. Not paying your bill is a totally bad idea when your trying to prove a point.
