There are alternatives.
Host your site on a Linux webserver, have a CMS installed (Content Management System). This way all you will need to do is change/add your logo and some other small items via the built in management software (WYSIWYG) to add your content. Some of this software will allow you to add a Blog and a Forum like this to it.
There is a learning curve to these type of systems but nothing like trying to be a code monkey......

Well it's been fun so far. I tried reading the tutorials on websites but it didn't make much sense so I bought "building web site.... for dummies" book. It's nice to have a book in my opinion. So then I got Dreamweaver CS3 and a manual for it, went pretty well till I started reading about Flash. So now I'm in a rut trying to figure out Flash. It's going to take a while but I'll figure it out (maybe a month or two). So far the hardest thing has been getting the right look, I don't want it to look cheesy. In the end it would have been cheaper to pay someone to do it but there is no fun in that.

If you don't mind me asking, how much was Dreamweaver? I have a very old version, very basic. Did you also buy Flash? It's been a while since I have done all that. I can understand basic html, like the stuff on this web page.

Dreamweaver CS3 is $399.00 and Flash CS3 is $699.00.

The CS3 Master collection is only about $2500.00. Cheap huh?

If your just starting out, I would suggest a simpler program.

Try this one.

http://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/

If you buy, I believe it's only $39.95. I used this for mine, and found it to be ok.
