Default ICE ROAD TRUCKERS

hey, how many people have seen this first season?

Let's discuss--Drew

Was he a bad driver? or was it the piece of junk truck he was driving?

Any other topics welcome.

Yeah, I know that--I'm over there too... there just arn't any DRIVERS/TRUCKERS over there....... why do a search 'here' to resurrect an old topic-----if you have no interest then why respond at all...and this thread will just die too. But thank you for being helpful and providing the
active link.

I'll say junk truck, only thing is why would you ever let your truck get anywhere close to being out of fuel in that enviroment?

It can happen, unexpected days off, ( truck, runs 24-7 )

Vent lines freeze, 1 tank still full, truck runs out of fuel.... it happens.

From what I saw/heard from the whole collection:

Drew-

(1) Broke a spring
(2) Lost the entire Battery Box off the truck
(3) Ran out of fuel
(4) The computer board broke.

Given the "extreme conditions" of -40 degrees.

Driving rough and hitting giant potholes in the ice- could account for broken bolts & springs( but we don't know for sure- the battery box could have been
rusted out/acid ate- ready to fall off)

I don't see how he could have destroyed the circuit board- though.

But that running out of fuel is a big question mark?? frozen/gel up is a different story---he did just pull out of the shop so hmmm I just don't know.

Spilled his coffee
absolutely NO Excuse for running out of fuel

I'm wondering if much of it might have been "staged" or set-up by History Channel

I mean...come on.

he's talking on the CB radio saying.." Bro, I've never gone in a ditch yet...aint going to start now" then HE runs into a ditch.

(But, I noticed during the reunion show--he was talking about the camera man---shinning one of those huge lights in his face while he was driving at night, and even that light reflecting off the inside windshield back at him at night)

then, TJ pulls out of yard at Yellowknife---in a brand new truck---and wrecks it---first thing......what's the odds? His service line came off. (not enough brakes to stop the rig) What's the odds?
Could someone have disconnected it while he wasn't looking?

Then there's Jay-- pulls off the yard with a overweight load---and a weigh station right there in front of him----- pulls off the scale moves 40feet and gets a ticket.
(no wonder no one wanted to pull that load--out of that yard)
