Yeah, those suck. At JB Hunt I had a couple HP loads. You had to call in and be "briefed" before you left like you were hauling some TOP SECRET load.

When I worked at Conway we hauled lots of Cardinal Health freight. They ship pretty much any type of pharmaceutical drugs. One of their skids is probably worth as much as a 53' load of HP computers.

Roadway also did some of the distribution for Microsoft when it released Vista, that would have to be some expensive freight.

Well I got you beat on the high value headaches ...At werner we had customers that would ship loads of tooth brushes /tooth pase /deoderant as high value , And would require you to call in for the HV briefing , and drive 200 miles after picking up the load before your first stop ,and only take breaks at class 1 yards , However the only thing enforced out of this was the call in for the briefing ,Which sucked if I forgot to call before leaving the shipper as i did not own a cell phone ...But Come on shipping Tooth brushes ,Deoderant, And tooth pase as high value ...Who the hell is going to jack my truck and trailer for some gawd dam ORAL-B and right guard ? ...But we did have some drivers that bought into the sales pitch their FM's told them about the high street value of these loads ,and how they could be sold on street corners  ...Funny thing is I've hauled big screen TV's that were not shipped HV ...Now what do you think you're more likely to get jacked for Tooth paste or Big screen TV's .

I delivered a couple of those loads to HEB in Austin Texas ...It cost $475.00 for a lumper to unload that crap...$475.00 It would take us 47.5 hours at what we gat paid to unload to make $475.00...

But I guess I'd rather pull a B.S fake HV load than Junk mail going to a BMC .

I was about a hundred miles out on one of those computer runs when the call of nature came on. I stopped at a rest area to use the facilities, then decided to take a nap for an hour. Nobody said a word to me.

The Hindu mafia watching the guys unload the trailer was another story altogether. Those guys are cool. Two security guards for each forklift driver.

All the BudWeiser loads I've pulled out of Fort Collins were only shipped JIT/HS never HV with only 1 stipulation the load can't be dropped anywhere other than a class 1 drop yard which consists of a gated fenced in yard with a sceurity guard on duty ,Which makes me laugh ,Because half the drop yard at our Columbus OH yard is full of trailers packed with BudWeiser ,and it's is gated ,But no security guard to be seen and the front gate wide open no lock wide open to anyone who can walk ...I find it funny the HV designation ut on Razor blades/toothpaste...But a load od Alchoholic beverages is just a high service load ...I'm not sure what would have the best street value and fastest resale BEER or razor blades and tooth brushes ...

I've never been given any restrictions on beer loads. They just don't give you a ton of extra time.
