lol

not a very accurate observation.... a lot of people participated. I learned a lot. I was ... gosh, I don't know a good enough word, I was really impressed by the thoughtfulness of some participants. Impressed by the thinking.

I took away a real sense of respect, increased respect.

the John Denver video was uplifting. It starts out about worrying things, but then it is uplifting. I'm grateful for that link. I added it to my YouTube favorites.

I'm sure someone on this forum has called me a Treehugger sometime over the time I've participated here. So I just thought it was such a hoot that the Treehugger forum was not as free of speech as they might pride themselves on being...

I think the quality of thinking here is more challenging.

So, again: thanks!

Yup, "Treehugger"!

Other names?
like, Pretty lady? Interesting poster?

(I just did a search, and couldn't locate the use I thought I remembered... so, that would make my post a lot less funny than I thought it was... :? )

That's an interesting wish, actually.

August 6th was the anniversary of the day in 2001 that President Bush was given the warning memo titled, “Bin Ladin Determined to Strike in US.”

For whatever reason nothing was done to stop Bin Ladin.

Since then there have been terror warnings to Americans over and over again so that we live in fear a lot of the time.

9/11 came into existence... and since that time it has been used to shape a limitation to our freedoms among other things.

For whatever reason Bin Laden remains free.

Perhaps.

If it was just me I don't think it would matter very much.

I think the uneasy part of this is that it's something we don't want to have questions about. He doesn't, you don't, and I don't.

But ...

There are things which if on CSI would give rise to more than one show.

Your page from the debunking site, which I responded to, was the one you linked to showing the shock waves as an explanation of why Building 7 was completely destroyed.

Against that I considered the Deutsche Building on Liberty Street which was closer to a Tower than Building 7 was to any Tower. The Deutsche Building, exactly across the street, was in the dark orange part of the shock waves shown on the page you linked to, the dark orange was the more intense part of the shock waves. And in fact the Deutsche Building sustained a "24 story gash" from the parts of the exploding Tower that hit it.

I'm not sure you accept the word "exploding."

The thing is that none of the three buildings fell down; they exploded out with great force and that's what damaged other buildings. The exploding was probably less damaging overall than if the buildings had fallen at an angle.

But in any case, the Deutsche Building was closer, got more badly damaged, but stood for years.

That is "proof" that Building 7 was not brought down by the shock waves as the page you provided suggests.

If the shock waves had destroying Building 7, then they would have destroyed the much closer Deutsche Building.

But they didn't so that is proof that Building 7 was brought down by something else.

Do you know what the date was when President Clinton chose to not have Sudan arrest Bin Laden? March 3, 1996.

No, that's not proof, that is a baseless theory that centers itself on a hypothesis and speculation.

Again, a theory.

That isn't proof of anything of the sort, and you are way beyond comical now.
