I've thought about going to another company but right now I'm where I should be. I'm home every weekend unless I volunteer to run, I spend at least 1 night during the week at home, the company is small enough so that I know everyone but not too small to have absolute garbage to run. Also, some loads pay a lot better than the one I posted. My last load paid me $0.59cpm for 500 miles, with a $0.38cpm backhaul.
I just really, really, really hate it when I get screwed (like on that load). I had a nice long conversation with my dispatcher and with the owner of the company about it. They both agreed that they never have taken that load, knowing what it paid. Of course, just have to see if it happens again.
