On the contrary Fozzy. Spam monkeys will start a topic to promote their website. If you will notice, I did not initiate this topic. I only signed up for this forum to address the issues that were raised about the fact financial support for Truck Drivers United comes from adult sites.

OK. I only had a brief time to look at the site in question. As far as it being a spam/porn site I say NO it is NOT. ( For the time being ). I wish I had more time to look into it but like many of you I have to work for my money.
One thing I do want to add is about a strike. You do know that if ALL truckers DID strike that the President ( any President ) would federalize the industry. Is that something you REALLY want? Think about it. Ridge

Greg, the site (EDITED)does not contain any inappropriate material. In fact, I make it very clear that I will post almost anything on the site, but I will not post any comments that contain foul language or other inappropriate content.
As far as adult sites helping to pay the bills, I’m sure if a Christian Book store, the Ku Klux Klan, the Black Panthers, or a particular Presidential Candidate offered to sponsor the site and I put banners up for any of them, there would be controversy as well. Remember, some drivers are Atheists, some are Buddhists, and some are Muslims, and a link for a Christian Book store would offend them.
If drivers get hung up on personal issues, and we cannot accept the fact that all drivers are not going to share the same views or moral values, then it’s going to be hard to ever stand together.
Ask yourself this: If ten drivers did take a stand at a dock and refuse to do business with a particular shipper, would you refuse to stand with them simply because they don’t share the same Christian beliefs as you do, or because they don't support the same political candidate you do… or even because their skin is a different color than yours?
Judging others is far too easy for any number of petty reasons, including religious beliefs.
What’s important are the problems affecting the industry, not the fact sales from adult sites helps pay the bills.

For Ridge Runner. Thank you. I have nothing against adult content, or even porn, but I don’t even allow foul language on Truck Drivers United. Even some of the language I’ve seen used on this forum is not permitted on (EDITED)
As far as SPAM, running websites I get it by the truckload, and hate that junk more than anyone, so I’m not here to SPAM anyone. Like I said in a previous post, I signed up here to respond to the post Double R made. As far as a link to TDU being in my signature or in the body of my messages, I see a lot of links in people’s signatures, so I don’t consider that to be SPAMMING, and I don’t include links to any of my other sites. Also, Bandit102 posted the original link to (EDITED)here, not me. As far as a Trucker Strike, I hope you have time to look over the site some day, especially the section on The Shutdown Option. I was around when we tried to shut down to stop the implementation of the CDL, so I know the odds against an organized, nationwide shutdown ever happening is about one in a trillion. Also, I don’t think a nationwide strike is necessary, nor would it be nearly as effective as an organized, state-by-state fuel boycott, or a boycott against individual shippers and receivers that have a proven reputation for delaying drivers for hours on end. For Rev.Vassago, the control panel on my server shows me where inbound links are posted, so I check the sites that link to mine. The link from this forum was there, so I checked it out. For greg3564, yes, I’m a full time, OTR driver and have been one for 27 years now. As far as the other issues you posted, I’ve said what I feel I needed to, so I’m not going to argue with you about it. If you don’t like the fact Truck Drivers United is funded by adult sites, then please feel free to NOT visit the site. It’s that simple. I also want to thank kona911 and pigrider for their comments. The links are there to help pay for Truck Drivers United for the people that do purchase adult products Online, but the banners are not X rated, and I’m not forcing anyone to visit the adult sites.

Several posting rules are broken by this thread, so it is getting locked down. Feel free to post your thoughts on the forums here, if you like, but leave the links out of it. While you may not be against adult websites, this forum does not cater to them or to websites that link them. If you do not agree with my decision, feel free to contact Jeff at CAD Enterprises (his screenname is CAD). Thanks.
