Actually, I'm thinking of putting Windows Server 2003 on my home pc. That's basically all it is anyway. I have a networked media player on my tv that plays all of the movies and tv episodes I've downloaded (400+ movies, 1200+ tv episodes) and run a torrent client 24/7. Other than that, I only use it for internet browsing when I'm at home.

I have Vista and like XP, it will suck for a LONG time! My main complaint is that you now cannot load half of the programs that run on XP. also Vista is a RAM pig! I have run Firefox for a long time, but they finally got Firefox patched up enough to run and they got a patch so videos will play. I was ready to dump it for Linux and or another copy of XP.. I'm suffering through it in the hopes that it will get better...

A great non-ratio tv site is EZtv. The have tv shows updated daily on their site. For general, non-ratio sites, I mainly use TorrentSpy or ISOhunt.

My Vista install is running great. I haven't booted it in months, so it has no problems at all.
![]() It's kind of funny, really. Mom never used a computer before, and I hooked her up with Linux to start. She's been bitching for years about all the fantastic stuff she's missing out on. I started my wife with Linux, and then I had occasion to try Vista, so I put Vista on the Linux box, figuring my wife was also getting sick of being a black sheep, shut out from the entire world by her freak alien geek dork OS. I've heard no end of bitching about how Vista is different and confusing and unfriendly, and will I PLEASE make Linux the default boot option. But anyhoo... Vista is less hideous looking than XP, but KDE still wins. Until they port KDE to Windows, I'll never be able to suffer with that childlike, pitiful, featureless, unconfigurable, butt ugly user interface. uke:
