Um. For my son to play with.

Where do you see that? The proffered link is a spec page at the manufacturer, but no shopping cart type facilities. One of the other links leads to a place to buy these things, and the Knight Hauler kit is listed at £258.00.

That's:

Live rates at 2007.07.04 05:05:16 UTC 258.00 GBP = 520.492 USD

OUCH!!!

I don't want one that bad. If I were going to spend $520 at a toy store, I'd let my wife go to some more adult-oriented place and knock herself out. It would be a lot more fun than building a model of what I do for a living.

Oops - I didn't realize I didn't actually copy the correct address for buying one.

They have 3 different truck body styles:
Coronado looking:

Cabover: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LG3493&P=1
"Classic": http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LG3489&P=1

Here's a couple of different trailers for it:
Van: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LG3490&P=1
Flatbed: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LG3491&P=1
Tanker: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LG3492&P=1

Also, what kind of truck would it be without a light kit:
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGA23&P=V
and for the trailer lights: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGA24&P=V

Upgrades for the truck/trailer:
Motorized trailer legs: http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=56505
Multi-Function unit (lights & sound): http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=56511

One last website - this is the company that makes the Knight Hauler:

I did a search on ebay for the Knight Hauler. There was one guy selling his complete setup: truck, trailer & radio. He had over $1,400 invested in it.

But, DAMN, it does look cool.

Reminds me of a few years ago when I went Xmas shopping with my cousin. This was when the 1st Xbox was the hot commodity and hard to find. Once we found one we had to "test" it for an afternoon before he wrapped it up for his stepson.

Now if they had a Volvo VN or a daycab Ford/Sterling in white and a 28' trailer I'd be game.

If I was going to spend that much on a RC Toy I'd go for the Tiger 2, Abrams or Leo2 tank.

oh man....I want one, but I'm to cheap to drop that kind of change......Maybe I'll get my kids a gocart and have a custom truck body made for it....then I can at least laugh at them having fun.
