Technical writing is the easiest of these things to sell, so when I got laid off from my comfortable trucking gig, that's what I decided to do. I had no intention of driving a truck again, and gave away all my day-to-day trucker crap, including a brand new atlas. I bought another brand new atlas the other day. I'm defeated. I have no dreams anymore. I dream only of getting enough of the bills kicked down to where I can afford a 60% pay cut without going bankrupt. Maybe two more years, if I play the game well. Then we can see about this part time trucking that's what I'd really rather be doing.

I've had all my stuff packed away in a couple of boxes for years now. I've been thinking about dragging it out and putting it all on eBay, but I keep thinking maybe one day I will go back. I guess one thing's for sure, and that's the fact that my old Badger Acuflex paint is bound to be worthless by now. I have a ton of that stuff out there. I spent an insane amount of money on the contents of two boxes. I think I got in over my head, and got too obsessed with superdetailing everything to perfection, instead of just running the damn trains. |
That's about as bad as me mistaking your wheat field comment for allergies.
