"Press 1 for english, press 2 for Mexico" My brother drives for a local O/O and he has the biggest problem with dock workers in Calif. that don't speak english. His last drop in Roseville Ca. for a major grocery/retail chain had hispanic dock workers that tried to charge him $225 to offload 11 pallets that were just roll-offs. He told them he was ready to pull out 5ft from the dock and just dump them right there. Then a lead dock worker, who says he was a union worker says the charge stays. My brother says the hispanic workers were not union and most likely undocumented immigrants, since none of them could speak very much english. My brother's boss said to unload the pallets himself, stay there until someone signs whatever paperwork, and let the freight broker work out the charges. The shipper is a big time food company here in Oregon and is not going to like it what this grocery/retail chain is allowing to happen here. Sounds to me like there illegal actions happening at this dock/warehouse.

(b)(2) Can read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, If not mistaken I believe it read before, Must speak and understand English. I dont think it said anything about "sufficiently to converse". Am I wrong? I dont remember that reading like that. http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/rules-regul...ction_toc=1767 Theres the link if you want to check it out. Peace Just wait until the laws are changed to require ALL American citizens to be conversant in Spanish! Funny thing.... coming up from Nogales to Tucson, the signs tell you how far to the next town in Kilometres. But, the speed limit signs are in MPH! Now how am I supposed to know if I'm speeding if my speedometer is in kilometres?? And WHY post a sign giving kilometres to the next town, if the sign is in ENGLISH??? I'm getting confused here..... WHAT country do I live in??? Never mind. I found a phone number to call for information. It says "press one for English." Hopefully, the Pakistani who answers will be "conversant" in English!

they have put on all these regulations over the years trying to clean up the trucking industry and control your lives. now the swifts and celadons are getting what they really want. mexican trucks and drivers and all that other bs can fly out the window.they will enforce all the regs on you and not some poor immigrant. that would be racist.
ill ask you one more time. if you have a year of experience. quit those big scoundrels . work for an all american company.

I agree with you their homer. Jerry Moynes gets away with insider trading. He should have been treated like Martha Stewart, and she should still be in prison.

Lord Justices John Laws and Peter Crane gave their decision on Monday to the traders - dubbed "metric martyrs" - who are from London, Surrey, Wearside and Cornwall. Their lawyers argued in the High Court that making it "a criminal offence to sell a pound of bananas in order to please Brussels" threatened to cause a "deep constitutional crisis". GFIW
