We'll be seeing lots more of these right wing nut job groups whose sole function is to spread disinformation about global warming.
That statement would be funny.. if it weren't so pitifully predictable. Global warming is real, where the big debate is when people start talking about whether or not its a natural occurance and nothing humans can do will stop nor change it, or whether or not it's solely man made and by forced wealth redistribution and forced social engineering the climate can be made to change.

The left and their normal over reactions and demonizing of anyone who dares to even question their over all motives is no shock. Why this topic even comes up on a trucking board is even more baffling unless those bringing it up are ready to start limiting trucks to less than 300 horses or overall cubic inches and driving 55 MPH or less and making all idling illegal and other such things..

That's nice but that's not what Gore said for US to do. He said to CONSERVE energy. He's not doing that, he's using more of it than anyone. You need to conserve as well as use renewable. If you're gobbling more energy than you really need, renewable or not, that's just being wasteful.

Unfortunately, Gore does NOT use all renewable energy.

All on-the-grid energy producers, whether they be a black-smoke belching ancient coal plant or the greenest-of-green wind farm all put energy into the same grid. It would be comparable to getting your water from a 100,000 gallon water tower with 100 different companies each putting in 1,000 gallons.

Sure, Gore is paying "Green Power, Inc.", but the energy is coming from every other source connected to the grid. And when there are shortfalls from any of the providers (downtime, underproductivity, etc.), they just buy it from other producers.

So, on some level he is supporting the green producers, but unless he is off the grid and self-sustaining his consumption contributes to pollution as much as yours or mine.

(I type this from my idling 6.3mph truck)

Regardless of where he gets energy, the numbers still show the simple gluttony of his usage.

Quote from the above article:

The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kWh—more than 20 times the national average.

Last August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh—guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year. As a result of his energy consumption, Gore’s average monthly electric bill topped $1,359.

Typicle of his ilk: "Do as I say, not as I do, because I'm a liberal, and smarter than you!"

The man who would be president.

Who cares what group came out with the Facts on All Gore-Truth is the Truth-He's a typical Lib with the "Do as I say-Not as I do"
