Speaking from experience... DO NOT under ANY circumstances hurry back to work in the truck until the physical therapist and your surgeon releases you fully to go back to work. Make sure you attend all the physical therapy sessions. They are pretty grueling!

I hurried to get back after a major knee reconstruction and practically begged the doctor to let me get back to work. I was getting calls almost daily from the company on how bad they needed me back... blah blah blah. I got released (could barely walk and could not really get around at all). I came back to work, worked one day and was "laid off" due to "lack of work". Make sure you take care of yourself and you family! If this happens to you, make sure you are healthy enough to get on with another company.

Good luck to you and yours

Fozzy

What Fozzy said....IN SPADES!

That new knee will take a while until you get mobile (and pain free) enough to get in and out of trucks again.

Don't come back too soon cuz you will really wish you hadn't

Good luck...best wishes and hopes for a speedy recovery!!!

We'll be thinkin' of 'ya!!!

Please be very careful after your surgery.

Personally, I believe that knee surgert during the winter months should be banned in all cases except the most dire emergencies.

The risk of contracting "Kneemonia" is just too high!!

Hey, outlaw. I wish you the best. I pray that everything works out for the good. Yeah, about 3 years ago, my dad had his knees replaced. Both of them, at the same time. They had him walking that evening. He went through some pain, but it's the difference between day, and night, after he had them replaced. As I said, dad had his replaced, grandad had his replaced, and dad's brother,as well. Kinda makes me think of what I have to look forward to. :P Wish ya the best. 8)
