Why such a big hurry? Unprofessional to hit and run.

Had just merged on to Us 91 in Connecticut it goes to a slight left curve.. Almost completely thru the curve my left mirror is stuck by a white flash... Wow that dumb in a hurry driver going at least 20 over the limit cuts the curve short and strikes my mirror casing. Cracked the casing and put a huge scuff mark in the paint.
Does he stop? Slow down at least? Ask if I care over the cb? Nope just kept on trucking and ignored me on the cb. It was a white truck since I'm a newer driver I couldn't tell what model it was, just know it had a sleeper but a flat roof. Wasn't pulling anything and seemed to speed up after it happened. I continued driving since I don't want to get hit by someone. Got off at the T/A in Willington, CT then I sent a message to dispatch and they want me to call the police for a police report. I know hogan will stack that in my dang file as a preventable accident. Why call the police its maybe 100 dollars damage and I'm still alive... Plus I'm 30 miles from where it happened. Also what will hogan do if I dont call the police for report? Its a no win situation while the over driver is off in lala land. Ok so I has so far hit 2 deer, got hit head on by another driver while sitting still, got hit twice at truck stops and now got struck while motoring down the highway.

And as far as the police report goes it serves 2 purposes. 1. It is to help cover your azz. 2. For the insurance company.

BTW: If you had called the police and reported a hit and run ASAP it is possible they might have been able to find the truck that did hit you, but since you are sitting on the computer whinning about things, the chance of this is now about zero.

If they fire me over this, thats just life. My fear is they will think that it happened while backing which will be rediculous.

I (my truck anyway) got hit four times in three months in truck stops. Only one of them stopped and it was the only one that I was actually in the truck for. I wasn't too darned happy with the guy, but seeing that the truck had been hit three times previously, I wasn't going to go bonkers.
