Default USX Auto shift question

Can anyone tell me more about the shifters in the US Xpress trucks?
Is it a paddle style deal, whereas you can force it to upshift or downshift? :?:

Depends on the truck make. I drive a '07 Century which has the steering column paddle shift. You can shift it manually or leave it in auto.
