I've already gave props to the know it all posters here because of their wealth of knowledge they possess. I really wonder how the world turns everyday without them in positions of power to lead our country. Did life give people like you the shaft by making you lowly truckers? I guess it did, because you have all the answers.

I made a valid point that many 4wheelers don't seem to understand. You DID begin your post by saying we weren't gonna believe it! .... So, some of us didn't.

I think your composition and attitutude CLEARLY shows that you were a cop. (But, I could be wrong... maybe just a "wannabe.") But, I STILL wonder if you've driven one day in a truck.

As for "lowly truckers"..... Hmmm.... I'm pretty sure that MOST truckers make more money than MOST LEO's. So, who's the low man on the totempole?

If the story WAS "made up".... you obviously didn't read the T.O.S. of this messageboard, as they specifically prohibit such activity. But then.... that would require you to be able to READ and COMPREHEND.

I have, and have SHOWN, a lot of respect to the military foks on this board, and I SHOULD be able to do the same for LEO's. MOST of them risk their lives every day for us. I APOLOGIZE to those who I've offended!

However, in my defense, I only said that his words made it clear that he WAS a cop - or a wannabe. That is just an observation made from the facts of his post. And HE was the one talking down to truckers, and I only pointed out that MOST LEO's risk their lives for LESS money. Kinda like a school teacher!

I'm sure there are many GOOD young men and women who join the police forces for the right reasons. However, I've known far too many who did it because they liked the POWER, control, and the ability to shoot someone with impugnity. That may sound like a stereotype, but by definition a stereotype is "earned" by a preponderance of occaision.

I have also had LEO's LIE in court about instances concerning a traffic stop on me. And, for the record, I've proven my point more than once! Like YOU mentioned.... they can easily LIE, and the judge believes them because they wear a badge. I'm also a STRONG believer in the 4th Ammendment, and I believe the Police abuse this right almost at will. Until you've had the FBI and the local Sherriff show up at your door, with NO warrant, and walk right in and start asking questions, you might not understand the feeling.

Personally, especially a few years back, I thought the "Marine" haircut was a ridiculous look on a man. For a Marine.... I understand it, given the amount of physical energy they expend, their helmets, the sweating and all. For a cop??? I think it is a "status symbol" of some sort. Either meant to "intimidate" or to "separate" them from the common man they are arresting/hassling.

Hey, "I" wore a uniform once, and had "shorter" hair when others wore it long. I know it goes with the look. But, "extremes" bother me! Do you have a mustache? If you did, would you cut it short on both ends like Hitler did?

I'm on record here as saying that I think ex-military might make some of the best truckers. I will state NOW, for the record, that MOST L.E.O's probably would be as well. Again, I apologize to those who didn't deserve my comments.

However, I will stand by my statement that anyone who would intentionally slow down in front of a trucker, PROBABLY below the posted 40 mph minimum by LAW (on MOST 3 lane interstates,) JUST to "force" him to pull over so he could call his buddies to give him a ticket.... is a MENACE on the road, has a GOD complex, and has never driven a MILE in a truck!

I didn't "make up" the stereotype of L.E.O's. But, I've heard the "knuckle dragging" reference made more often about THEM, than I have about truckers. If the Shoe Fits.....
