Well... anyway... I'm not old enough to remember the 70's CB craze, except for the long whips on pickups and Trans-Ams, but my CB is mostly just dead-weight. Occasionally I'll try leaving it turned up a bit, with the squelch off, but inevitably some moron will start whistling or playing music or talking gibberish. And it goes on for miles and miles. I don't know if these people are following me down the road or if they just have massive radios, but they drive me insane. I don't mind so much the occasional profanity and illusions of hooters. I'm not easily offended, but I am easily annoyed. Most of the time I just keep it turned way down and the squelch about half-way. Mostly just in case a nearby driver wants to tell me about a flat tire or something. Otherwise it's useless to me.[/quote]
