road, not sure if it's the same bridge, but I think that's the one I watched being built on TV one night. Some Japanese engineers came up with the design and carried out the building of it. They actually had to move the pieces of deck by a nuematic/hydraulic jack system from either side since they could not use cranes because of the height of the deck. When it moved, it was ever so slowly but it looked like an old steam/coal engine train trying to take off but it was so slow you almost did not notice it with the eye.

that's the millau viaduct a friend of mine rode over it this past summer on a motorcycle and thought it was the most thrilling road he'd ever been on. nice breezes up there too. :shock:

Yeah cept you can't eat these damned things :P ones I saw were only about 4-5" long The wonderful roads of Iraq-The one with the Tank was during the Fallujah Campaign in '04 and the Tanker burning was my Buddy Mr. Z where he hit a Russian Land Mine East of Haditha. RIP
