I'll pull together some photos to send. I don't have anything on my 'puter.
Bought my first horse at 12 years old. Started with 4-H...then Junior Rodeo. My first horse was a Black and White Pinto...like my hero "Little Joe Cartwright" had. At 21 I got a Morgan/Thoroughbred and began Jumping and Dressage. Then I started Showing Quarter/Thoroughbreds, because of a Stud I got. Later another Stud Arabian. Lived in Texas 7 years and took Rodeo very serious, as a Steer Wrestler. There got involved in Breeding and some Breaking work. Lived in California 17 years and more Rodeo and Shows. Started being asked to Break and Train more. Finally got into Endurance Racing...and this was my niche'....after all these years of dabbling in everything Horses. I was very lucky to have World Class rider's to learn and train under. Still I bred horses...one client was George Lucas. Rode the same trails as Joe Montana, and Tom Selleck....Marin Highlands. Sharon Saare and Casandra Schuler were my riding buddies...and off and on girlfriends. Both are living legends in Endurance. I also gave James Drury's horse ( "ED" )from the TV series..."The Virginian" his last ride. It was out on the ocean beach. I felt honored. Endurance took an awesome horse. "Tucson" was an exceptional athlete. Two breakers couldn't handle him and became afraid of him. He was considered unbreakable and "rank" when I found him. His conformation was perfect. I loved his high-spirited nature. I never took that out of him. It was what made him so awesome. Extremely intelligent and one of the most exquisite Arabians I ever laid eyes on. Well...enough. As you know...there are endless stories. |
