So easy for you to poo poo Israel...what about the a$#$holes using these "innocent" women as shields.....or is it that you just listen to the spin the media puts on it to make you believe that Israel just attacked these "poor innocent " women because it was a fun thing to do. Besides, if they are that stupid to allow themselves to be put in that situation...well TOO BAD!!!!

Whether there is "media spin" in the article or not. No one on earth can justify or condone these actions. The U.K and people over here are usually very sympathetic to the Israeli cause(after all a lot of the problems there were caused by British foreign policy).

 

If they are stupid enough to run into the middle of a running battle, in an effort to protect Hamas militants who are hiding in a Mosque, then there is a pretty good chance they will get shot.

Should Israel have stopped fighting to save the women so that the Hamas militants could escape?

 

...well I am unsympathetic to the Muslim cause....and it is spelled "defense".......abhorrent action = muslim blowing himself up and killing Israeli women AND children....do you have a defense for that? Has occurred thousands of times more than some muslim being cast off to "paradise" by an Israeli.....I respect your opinion but this is mine...bd.

 

The women that were killed were fleeing the scene; That is the reason why I find it so disgusting, that troops would turn their attentions away from the mosque and pursue and fire upon them. If British soldiers acted in this way, I would be equally enraged.

No where in the story link you provided, or in any story I have seen on the news about this was it said that they were fleeing. In fact your own link says they were shot as they, "headed to a Gaza mosque to serve as human shields."

Israeli soldiers have shot and killed two Palestinian women as they headed to a Gaza mosque to serve as human shields for besieged gunmen. (Pic: Reuters)

At least ten women were wounded in the shooting which came on the third day of a major Israeli incursion into the territory.

The stand-off at the mosque has become the focus of the fighting in and around the town of Beit Hanoun.

Palestinian gunmen sought refuge there after running away from soldiers and Israeli tanks and armoured personnel carriers quickly surrounded the building.

Most of the gunmen are thought to be from the military wing of the Palestinians' ruling Hamas party.

A Hamas radio station broadcast a call to women to go to Beit Hanoun to shield militants inside a mosque and dozens of women left their homes to hurry to the building when they came under Israeli fire.

More than 20 Palestinians have been killed in the latest fighting.
