Sorry to hear, Kev.
I was going to suggest a change of scenery, like Canada, U S A, or I know they're always looking in New Zealand, but I also know about your Dad. I've had a couple of ocassions when the last thing I wanted turned out to be the best thing to happen to me. Only took a few weeks to find that out. Hope you get to realize something similar. I,ve got an interview for a job tomorrow in a retail store in the city centre. It pays about half what I earned driving, but...... :roll:

Come on, Wot. You don't mean that there are NO jobs available for drivers in the U.K. do you? If nothing else.... find a French company that imports common sense and courage, and you can drive it through the Chunnel, eh?
