I dont think the worst thing about the Foley issue is his pedaphelia, Its the misuse of his position to lure aspiring youths to his bedside.
Abuse of power, corruption of unprecendeted scale and plain failure of the republicans is why they must be kicked to the curb.

I agree with One, for the most part, but....

I don't quite call what Foley did "pedohelia." I realize they were 'technicaly' still KIDS, but they were at least what?.... Seniors in H.S or college freshmen?? This is at least above the age of consent. To ME, I think of pedophelia as these sick bastards that abuse even pre-pubescent children (John Mark Karr comes to mind!)

But, the abuse of power is the main issue, and to a greater extent it is not just Foley's example of it, but rather how the GOP covered it up, ignored it, whatever.... for the purpose of MAINTAINING power over the Congress.

They KNEW what a scandal like this would cost them just before these MidTerm elections, and they were willing to go to ANY lengths to avoid losing control. They only got indignant once the story broke and they had no choice but to feign the Moral High Road.

IF and when it is proven that any or many of them knew about this more than a month ago, those individuals should be charged with being accomplices before AND after the fact in the crime of pedophelia. And, I sure hope Foley stands trial for it someday SOON, so that they CAN be.

...I think it is interesting to see foley so public and open about the whole issue..I imagine he is being paid alot of $$$ for the whole thing, and to keep it in the news...I would think when you are caught up in a career ending scandal, it would be best to stay out of the limelight...he will have enuf cash to retire to some out of the way place and pay for all the young men he wants...we are being fed what we are to know (and to react to) by the main-stream-media...I think if the Dems gain control, and do not start proceedings for treason (against the DC gang now) within 3 months, there should be a revolution...or we will just continue down the same road...

As opposed to re-electing the same scumbags that cause the problems to begin with? The scumbags that are in there now (from both parties) are the reason things are so f****D up.

Politics was never meant to be a career, and it is past time for new faces in gov't.

I do not blame the politicians at all.. they are opportunists and have been their whole lives. It's the apathy and the 2/3rds of buttwipes who cannot be bothered to get informed and join the process of SELF government. We deserved the representation that we get.
