I voted for Washington but like others said that's a short list.
I don't have much love for McArthur because after the Japs surrendered he went over there and wallowed with them I think Patton was my favorite general and Ronald Regan for president.

Dugout Doug did a fine job in Japan but the early years of the war he was a bafoon!. And again, the comments wallowing with "them" is just silly and not relevant nor helpful to the discussion. Right now the Japanese are one of the ONLY allies we have left in that area who pack the right weaponry and attitude to keep the N. Koreans and Chinese from starting too much BS. Due to their constitution (set up by fledgling government with Dugout Doug) they are restricted to spending only a VERY small percentage of their GNP on their defense forces. They are however very successful in their economy and that adds up to a HUGE amount of money. They are ALSO one of the countries sending troops to the war on terror to help the US.

Nope but anyone can move here and be an American no matter what coutry they came from. Thats what my post was about. I see why now your NCO gave you the monicer of Fozzy bear.

Suuure they do! The black Americans weren't even really considered Americans until the 1960's and then it was more or less forced at the end of a federal troop's gun barrel. The things about other countries not allowing others to become "real citizens" is not really true, they aren't as stuck up as Americans and allow DUAL citizenship. Over in France and other countries you can be BOTH without making it a federal case. There are American Indians who claim the same thing as you are claiming. "we" invaders are never going to be good enough to be considered "Americans".

There never has been anything concrete to support this allegation.
He was an isolationist.
He went into SECLUSION after his kid was kidnapped and never recovered.
He fathered several illegitimate german children before and after the war. I lost any respect I had for the man after that little snippet came out. He flew across the Atlantic as a stunt to sell airplanes and get rich. He WAS a fancier of the Nazi's, but there were plenty of Americans who were really into the whole movement before the war.
