The company I am leased on to use Transcore and nothing else.
I have ITS and when I am ready for a load I will look at ITS and the loads I end up getting never are on ITS.
I have watched them use it when I have been in the office and it looked liked the search options were wider. We only run from Iowa to Southern California and back. Soon as a load hits the board going either way it will "ding" and they will be on the phone calling about it.
It's expensive but I hear it's worth it. They wouldn't let me try it for even one day to make up my mind. They want you to get on the phone and they lead you through a preplanned demo. They won't leave you alone.
I tried their demo search and it's like your back in the 1970's. Their web page sucks big time and the sales person said every single person says the same thing and they have lost countless new people because of it. Me included. They said they are working on a new one but it's a major job.
If your running 3 trucks now BD, DAT will probably worth the money. Especially if you have someone at home to moniter the load availability.
What is it costing now...maybe $350...400 a month? The down graded version cost us $285 a month (in 04 & 05)for the flatbed/stepdeck side...but really wasn't worth it, even with 3 trucks running. We should have jumped straight into DAT.

DAT markets their loads under several different load boards. OOIDA has one called MembersEdge. The most expensive through OOIDA costs about $71/month. I have been told that it is the same board as the regular DAT board. If you are a member of OOIDA you can subscribe through their website. I believe they will allow you to try it for 30 days.
I've seen the full version; pretty nice but I personally don't feel it's worth it for this level.
I subrscibe to TruckersEdge www.truckersedge.net and post the trucks there. It is powered by DAT and only costs like $19 a month. I don't really like the interface for searching for loads and rather use ITS. The other guy I work with likes Getloaded. I just use TruckersEdge to post.
Out of the three load boards Truckers Edge is by far the easiest to post. When people call I ask where they saw the truck posted and DAT (Truckers Edge) seems to draw a lot of brokers.
Sometimes if I'm having trouble finding a load I do search on Truckers Edge and there are many companies that seem to post there and not on the other ones. But like I said I don't use it for searching too much.
Another reason I like to use Truckers Edge to post is I can put different phone numbers. (like cell phone if I'm out of the office)
TruckLoadRate has a new load searching function that seems to have loads posted that aren't anywhere else. I don't know what it's powered by.
Steve not sure what you mean about team member. As for usage that's what I like about it, I heard that the full version charges per use; this one doesn't.

Really like the product.
On the sign up page it says if you know someone who is a team member that they get a $65 dollar credit.
Do you have a team number? If so, PM it to me and I'll list you as the reference.
I just spoke with someone at MyMembersEdge, which is OOIDA's version of DAT and she told me that most of the loads posted on OOIDA's load board should be the same as on the regular DAT board. She also told me that they are working to make all loads posted on the DAT board available on the OOIDA board with the next month or so. It might be worth it to subscribe to the OOIDA board rather than he DAT and save some money. The most expensive package they have on the OOIDA board is $71.95.

I didn't see the team number mentioned on the sign up page but logged in and they mentioned it. Called up and got it but I was just looking at the membersedge thing by OOIDA and it's $2.00 cheaper and I'm sure the same thing. Probably better to use that one.
I might try it too, hell $2.00 a month can buy me 10 iced coffees in a year
I've been looking at Truckers Edge for the past few days comparing it to The Internet Truckstop and I consistently see that Truckers Edge only has 25% of the loads that The Internet Truckstop has. Maybe it's the area's I've been looking at but I don't think so and nothing was filtered out.

I noticed the same thing. Some of the loads were different though. It also seemed to take the brokers a longer time to remove their posting which is annoying on both of those boards. I was calling brokers and they would say that load was taken and the listings were still posted a few hours later...

Honestly Steve like I said I don't really use the board to search only to post. It seems to generate a lot of calls. But when I do search it does seem to have people that I don't see on ITS.
I dumped them also. I told them I was sick of watching 10 million ads load up instead of showing me what I wanted. They said it was a common complaint and that they were doing something about it. Well, it's been about 6 months and no change.

I think Rankenstein uses it.
Yessir Stevo, I use a version of it called DATCONNECT. It costs about $120/month or something like that. I think they might have a $30 day money back guarantee. At least the Canadian version (Load Link) does because I got my money back before I signed up with DATconnect..
