My wife and I are considering becoming a truck driving team. We have been married twenty years kids in college so we want to change our lives.
I know that nothing in life is easy and i do expect to drive, eat, sleep repeat. I am having a hard time finding others that have done this and can give me a reality check on pay and home time. The company i am looking at is CFI. I don't want to get my information from a recruiter. The last time i dealt with someone with the title recruiter i ended up in a Submarine for 4 years.

I'm sorry that someone with more experience was not able to post a reply to your questions. Once the seasoned professionals are available, you are sure to get better information. Your pay will go hand in hand with your hometime requirements. The biggest part of the puzzle you have had twenty years to solve. Now translate that relationship to a cooperative out of a box on wheels. Dedicated accounts may give you that stable paycheck that you can count on (If you truly get on an account and not just a promise). Then again, in your situation, children off to college. why not team otr. Stay out, enjoy the goodtimes, endure the work and take hometime if freights slow! Pay expectations; I can't answer that other than to share my team pay range, worst week $275 up to best week $3395. I'm sure that you will begin to get better answers from our well seasoned professionals now!
