You might want to check into this link. It's the state of IL website concerning the CDL. It also allows you to download the study guide.

Can't really tell you what IL rules are, but in TX you are allowed to take your permit and driving tests multiple times.

Do you understand the process of how you get your CDL and get a job as a driver?

In Illinois you get 3 attempts on your written test. If you fail 3 times you have to wait 30 days to try again. The school will teach you what you need to know to pass the test.

This is the sight for practice tests my school used:

Good Luck,

That cristcdl is a good one. We had a guy in our class that was always telling stories about past events and backed our class learning time up. You need to read your book and use these web pages for quizes and it will help out alot.

Jay, you never complained when I went and took those tests for you. At least you got your license. And $350 was a steal, compared to my neighbor wanting to charge you $750.

Yeah, I see the guy driving in and around Ennis quite often. So he gets a number of takers. And yeap its $350 US dollars, he doesn't take that southern stuff.

Who's going to tell the original poster that he's going to be studying his petunia off to pass all the written tests. Then he's going to be practicing his petunia off (if they allow him the time) to pass all the driving tests. Then he's going to have get his pre-hires to companies. Figure out what company he wants to go to , go to their orientation. Then 6 or so weeks with that companies trainer before he gets a truck.

Oops, I guess I just told him.
