Just a little discovery I wanted to share, from trucker to trucker! I came across a new driver's daily log in the iphone app store called "logtuit" and it is solid compared to what else is available out there. I would highly recommend it to all of you looking for an easier way to log your hours.

Looks pretty cool. Do you know what the differences are between the free and the paid versions? I'm already running an iPad in the truck and can print via a driver for my laptop.

Installed to the IPad. Does the paid version do anything other than remove the advertising? Looks pretty cool and I'll definitely try it out next week when I get back in the truck.

"Trucker to trucker". Does it matter to you that the OP lacked the integrity to say that he programmed this app and he'd like us to try it. Nope, instead he's starts off with claiming he's got a discovery he wants to share. 2 posts, both spam and he misrepresents himself. I wouldn't give him a credit card number.

I'm interested to see what format the logs are printed in. I've downloaded some other DDL apps for the ipad, but the format was unrecognizable and the DOT would probably lock you up for even considering using them. Also, there's no options for changing the format, other that the 60/7,70/8 hours.

What kills me is the number of hours that he put into programming this and to have his own lack of character betray him. If he had joined the forum and told people the truth, people still would have been reluctant to try something new - the existing DDL guy seems to have a lock, but he could have offered a promotion of some kind and gotten people to try it. But no, he comes on here like some late night tv ad talking like it's an anti-aging 'discovery' or something. How pathetic. All those hours down the drain.

Btw, if I seem to be taking this a little personally it's because I am. A few years ago I started writing my own DDL program. I put a couple of days into it but got distracted by something else and never finished it. This is where I left it. Painting the grid was done and the red line is probably how I was going to show the current time. I was "feasibility testing" different ways to show locations (English translation: was it something I was capable of? ) The next step would have been to start storing locations and dates/times and such but like I said I got distracted. (also, let's be honest - the easy part was done and the hard part was about to begin).

It's a lot of work writing a program. It's got to work perfectly on everyone's computer that tries it or the programmer is screwed. Once people post bad experiences noone else is going to even give it a chance.

But our friend here isn't even going to reach that point, is he? (unless he's learned from playing us for fools and he does better next time)
