Pay -- Beloit
• 65,000 average for new driver (minimum of $750 per week). No sign on bonus!
• Mileage pay is currently at .525/mile for single miles driven (equipment is governed at 65 MPH)
• The biggest two components that make the salary are cases unloaded and miles driven. Cases of chips weigh 5-7 lbs. on average.
• We pay for stops
• We pay for unscheduled layover pay
• We pay for delay
• We pay for drop and hook
• Vacation pay

Working Conditions -- Beloit
• 75% non-layover
• States we make runs to: WI, IL, IA, MN, MI, IN, ND
• We use OBC, and paper logs if system is down
• The warehouse loads trailers manually, and we unload manually using a hand cart
• We run routes 24/7 and follow the DOT guidelines
• 60hrs/7 day logs
• Tractors are automatic Volvos and Freightliners
• Many are CNG – they run on natural gas
• Tractors are slip seated – could be in a different tractor each day
• No pets allowed
• You may have a passenger if you have manager approval
• We have an electronic bid board that is seniority based

Scheduling – Beloit
• 75% of runs are “day runs” where the rest are mostly single overnights.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Dispatch is 24/7, so “night” may be in the middle of the day
