hiring otr owner operators
(power only) will be using company trailers 53' dry vans looking to fill positions for our brokerage divison company based in romulus mi. (driver dosent have to live in area) .85/mile loaded miles on all miles d/h pd after 1st 50 fsc pd on all applicable loads to driver layover pay if applicable fuel cards # miles up to driver if any questions feel free to call or email 734-946-4235 / email= [email protected]

just because they pay crap to the O/O doesn't mean they haul cheap, just pay cheap. Though I suspect you are probably correct.

I average $1.68 a mile plus fuel surcharge, I cant imagine making it on half that

If it costs $0.45 per mile just to pay for fuel, then the rate should be MINIMUM $1.35 per mile just to break even. At $0.85 per mile plus a FSC that is likely around $0.25 per mile, that's still $0.25 per mile too low. Just to break even.
And that's assuming a decent amount of miles per week. Notice how quickly there was an extra $0.07 per mile available? I'm guessing there's a whole lot more than that.

How about if I just stay home and send you a $500 check every week? I won't go broke as fast that way.
