Actually, we have used ads on other sites and found they weren't worth the money. I posted here to see if this would generate any interest before spending the money for the ad. We are a family owned trucking company and only need a few good, solid drivers. We pay our drivers well, and that is possible by not wasting money on ads and marketing!!!

 

That's all fine and dandy, but this is a private website. You accepted the user agreement when you signed up. There is a place to advertise for drivers. This particular forum isn't it. This one is.

Besides - if you are too cheap to buy an ad at the reasonable rates that CAD charges, then you are likely going to nickle and dime your drivers to death too. Just sayin'.

 

Per CAD's guidelines, you are permitted 1 ad in this forum only and the thread has been moved accordingly.

However, that said:

Whether you intend it or not, that comes across as thumbing your nose at anyone else that has a business to create income. CAD is just such a business. They make their money from advertising, while the board is free. It's one thing to make use of a service offered free to non-customers of CAD. It's another to act like it's beneath you. And that's why the comments coming back are coming back negative.

Just a word of advice.
