Default AC issue?

i hit a deer last week. did minimal damage. but put a hole in my condenser. no big deal swapped it rehcharged it and i was off. now the ac is cold. it did freeze up once. my issue is, the engine fan goes on for no reason and will stay on for 45 min or so. shut off then go back on quickly then off for like an hour then on for 45 min. now this NEVER happend before. ever. i was talking to maniac and he said maybe its over charged? i took it in to the ta on exit 78 on i80 in pa. they said the pressures were fine. i'm going to see if my buddy at a dodge dealer can evac and recharge the system to see, anyone else have any other sugestions? its not running warm and no real cooling issues.

Mine did the same thing.... I hit a deer last fall and had a small body shop fix the damage bumper, condensor, headlight. They charged my AC with cans of freon. This year when I turned on my AC the fan instantly came on and stayed on most of the time. The air was cool but not cold like before.

Stopped at a Sapp Brothers and they hooked it up to the machine and vaccumed out 5.1lbs of freon. System was supposed to be charged to 4.3lbs. They said the high side was fine but the low side was too high and kicking on the fan.

They recharged the system to 4.3lbs and not having any problems now.
