Default Tire size

I've got 24.5 LP all around, and thinking about putting 11R24.5 on steers, due to better load rating. I'm always at the limit on steers. I couldn't see how it could go wrong, but just to make sure... What do you think, or know about this setup? Thanks!

If you put tall rubber on the steers and LP on your drives, your front will be a little talker than your rear. I have a truck that came from the factory with 24.5 LP on the steers and 24.5 on the drives. The steers sit a little lower, but it seems to work alright. You should be able to find tires with a higher rating without increasing the tire size. I would first check to see what might be available in the same size that would have a higher rating. I know many dumps run tires that are rated at about 20,000 pounds.
