Default EXHAUST PT.1

OK, first off, why do/did some trucks have that flap on top of the exhaust pipe?

Those are used to keep water out of the exhaust. If your truck sits for some time without being run the exhaust will fill with water and rust certian parts of the engine. I think most people use them to look and sound cool now.

Called a rain cap. Keeps rain out. Rain caps are mostly used on farm tractors, and farm trucks that arent always inside.

I just had a vision, and when you get rich, I want you to remember me.

Cap a stack with one of these (properly chromed out):

Now that could be cool, especially if you could get it to spin going down the road. Methinks there could be a cool "Trick my Truck" episode involving those.
