My truck won't start this morning. It only got to 40. My car has been dead also so I can't jump it off the car. Anyone know where the battery is in a Carrier reefer unit?

I'm sure the refer unit battery will not even come close to jump starting you if that's what your thinking. If your car is close by or can be pushed close to the truck the batteries in your truck may be enough to jump start your car. Then you could jump the truck with the car.

Yep, that's what I was thinking. I'll try to push my car down there and give your other idea a try. If it doesn't work, I'll have a car and a truck in the street that won't start. I LOVE MY JOB!!! My boss however is another story. Thanks for the input.

The reefer will not jump start your truck any more than the car would... they both have batteries and alternators.

Use the reefer alternator to charge the truck batteries over a period of time...

I'm not 100% sure what you are trying to say, but you CAN jumpstart a truck off of a car. I have jumped my KW off of my pickup several times before.

What I was attempting to get across was the fact that a reefer charging system is no different than a car's charging system... alternator, battery and cables - either system is "as capable" of getting the truck started as the other.
