Cypress Truck Lines, their main office is in Jacksonville. They are a flatbed company.Haven't had any experience with them. The only other thing that comes to mind is driving a tram at Disneyworld. That way you always have something to haul.Haul people to the parking lot, pick up a back haul of people to the front gate.No log books.

In truth, only on one occasion did I wait a day for a load. I normally got assigned a load within an hour or two of going on the board. Sometimes I was deadheaded out of the state to as far away as SC. Did I care? NO! I got paid the same empty or loaded. They could have deadheaded me to Maine, Minnesota, or California.... and it wouldn't have bothered me a bit.

I have seen more than just a few Red Racers in FL....more than in years past. So their freight base has to have improved there. If they don't have a load going out right away....its alot like being "anywhere". You use the time to reset, rest, shop...or whatever. Right? 8)

leave it to skywalker to find an argument regarding CFI when there really isn't one.

No argument at all....just an observation from my point of view as a FL resident who worked for CFI. The question or issue wasn't about anything but "what about freight out if you live there"? Wasn't it? Just stating my particular experiences.... 8)

Unfortunately...most all of their equipment I have seen on the road.... should have been sent south of the border years ago.... I don't think they are someone I would ever look at.

Come to think of it I have never really talked to a happy driver.
I been sitting here in a lot full of loaded trailers for 2 days and not moved except to ride down and get some Chinese food.

Trucking is goofy

Overall mass unhappiness

I would suggest Shaffer out of Florida, reefer division for Crete. It's easy to get into Florida with dry freight but hard to get out unless your pulling a refidgerated unit. Shaffer hauls for Minute Maid so would not be a big problem getting out. Also they have SE regional come available at times as well, when it does they offer it to there OTR guys and gals.
