CountryHorseman,

Commenting on your blog, Alcoa is just outside Rockdale. While you are there waiting you are allowed to eat at the caferteria. You do have to pay for it.

Just remember Terry that when you run low you're fuel pump is gonna suck up any crap that's at the bottom of your tank.

Haven't seen TMC running up to our paper mill here lately.

OK, but won't it suck it all up anyway? I understand it will be more concentrated, but chances are that it will be sucked up anyway.

Thank T, guess after a week I had my 'dales mixed up. My trainer had mentioned the cafeteria, but since we were that high up on the load list, we did not want to miss our load call. Will definitely keep that in mind for the future.

nope, you will "run out" long before the tanks are dry.Don't know why but you will see fuel in there even though the truck won't run....ask me I know

OK, rub it in!! Have been researching wireless air time cards for this thing, so I can have my internet when not near the WiFi. Looks like Verizon has about the best deal over sprint, at&t and alltel. Appears they have better coverage and more broadband areas.

I think that is what TL has on his computer, if I remember correctly. Terry, correct me if I am wrong.

OH, Terry, which model Garmin do you have? Been looking into that stuff also, and may save up for the 7200 or NUV1350. Will be a while for that though. Just ordered a new phone with BlueTooth. A hate driving and talking on the phone without a headset.

Later all, need to go get some breakfast.

Morning y'all!

Just my .02 on the fuel thing (please forgive me if you are already doing this)... Keep track of your average fuel economy manually, by averaging your actual miles driven by total gallon intake over the course of several fill-ups. Don't trust the electronic readout if your truck has one! The measuring stick that Terry mentioned is a good idea also.

Be safe and have a great day ...

I use T-Mobil. It is OK. It's speed is about like dial-up, unless you are in one of the cities with Edge Technology, then it is faster. For what I do, it is more than fast enough. I read post on here that some carriers are as fast a High Speed. That would be nice. I only pay $19.99 for mine.

I use the Garmin Nuvi 660. They are expensive, although they have come down in price since the release of the Garmin Nuvi 680. I wanted one with the additional features, but I find myself not using them anyway. You can get a less expensive model that has all the features I use on a daily basis. My trainer had a 330 that got us everywhere we wanted to go. It has basic features. Go to www.garmin.com and you can compare all the model and all their features.

A phone with a headset is essential if you are going to use your phone while driving. Try to get one with noise canceling technology. I thought I had, I'm told it doesn't work so well.

I plan to get one of the Blue Parrot's for mine. I do not like the ear bud style. Guess when you have a hollow head, the wind noise comes in from the other side. :D
