Does the truck have an inverter or do you need to add one?

You have 120v power when the APU is running. I'm going to ask about adding a hardwired inverter when I'm at the shop on Monday.

You suck! (or at least your truck does, hahaha)
I wanna see those well trucks, too.
I've not seen any of the big companies doing well services in VA, although Superior and Halliburton seem to be doing some of that in places.

I think smith may be the only OTR company that does well work. I never seen another big OTR outfit with well trucks before.

I know Schneider is (or was) hauling sand to the well sites around here. Saw quite a bit of them around here about a year ago.

I made my delivery this morning and am at the Roaring Spring, PA terminal waiting on my truck to go into the shop for it's repairs. I checked and, yes, they will install a large power inverter (I didn't ask, but I'd assume that a 1,500watt is probably the biggest they'll allow). It costs $76+tax for them to install it. I don't know if they provide the cables or not.
Not sure how long I'll be here. The truck is scheduled for 5pm. When I checked in at 11am, there was 8 trucks ahead of me. If I'm still waiting tomorrow, I'll do some local runs.

Schenider runs sand around here, other then Smith, most are oil field companies. Wish I knew you wanted pictures, Smith use to be parked in the same lot that we are. I might be able to get a few pictures, have a buddy who drives for Equipment Transport working the wells. Smith does a lot of work with them.

Since the truck was in the shop all day, I ran some local loads. What's good about them was that they were all 51 miles, which put it at the top of our short-haul pay scale. So, for each 51 mile load I did, I was paid $0.96 per mile. That's $0.36 base rate plus $0.60 for short haul miles. With the 6 loads I did, plus the 60 or so empty miles, I made a bit over $300 for the day. All I did was shuttle preloaded trailers between 2 different warehouses. Now - it's time for some sleep. I'm exhausted.
