I have been looking into the oil field driving jobs and wonder if anyone could shed more light on the pros and cons to this . I have spent the last 2 years hauling local for a feed company . Have had my class A with tanker endorsement . Am really just looking for a change .

There are more posts here on them. Truckersreport has some info too. From what ive read only : There seem to be special laws requarding oil company driving that allow just about anyone they hire to drive. So if you have a cdl a with some kind of expeirence it seems you can get hired. The posts i saw said it was LONG and hard work and t hat you could get as many hours as you could handle for killer money. That there wasnt crap to do in your off time and that people spent every dime they made living there (boomtown economy). The drivers i read posting seemed 'happy' as in they went there to bust their butts and make big money. |
