Default Miller Transporters out of Jackson, Ms.

Just wanting to find out if anyone has heard of this company or worked for them. If you work for them, is it a good job and what are your likes and dislikes. Looking to go work for them in October. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I was leased to them for 3.5 years out of their Orangeburg, SC terminal. The terminal you run out of will make a big difference in how well you do. The best are Channelview, Tx and Memphis, TN. The worst are Greensboro, NC, Lansing, IL and Nitro, WV.
I left a year ago when they went to their new computerized dispatch system where the computer decides what the best utilization of your truck is. I just couldn't see working on revenue and not having a say in what I hauled or where I went.

Thanks Allen for your info. I would be working out of the Richmond, In. terminal as a company driver. From what I have seen on their web site, it seems that they have a real good compensation package.

I've heard good things about that terminal from their drivers.
They joined Miller as an agent during my last year with the company.
I hauled a couple loads of some kind of adhesive for them from Indiana to Tulsa, Ok. but I think most of their trips are dedicated where you head straight back empty which is good for home time. Good luck!

My cousin pulled flatbed for them out of Tulsa for a few years. He thought enough of them as a company to try and convice me to hire on with them. .. So give it your best shot, ya gotta start somewhere.

Different "Miller" Roses. The Miller you speak of is runs vans, flatbed and asphalt tanks and are based out of Stroud OK. They are a decent company from everything I have ever heard from their owner operators.

Airride, what Allen gave you is pretty much the straight skinny. I might move Nitro off his list and replace it with Savanna.

I’ve mostly heard good things about Miller. One of my acquaintances worked for them few years back. He always talked good about them. But I guess the terminal makes a difference, as Allen says.

yes Orange there is a terminal out of Stroud, but there's also an office/terminal in Tulsa because I've been there to talk to them years back. Nice enough company. He stayed with them until he passed away.

yeah....sorry....clunky computer wouldn't work last night. Tried to put in "Miller Truck Lines". Their home office is in Stroud OK. I have considered them as a place to go.
