I would rather nobody work for scumbag companys until they pay drivers what they are worth, OR maybe they will go out of business all together and a decent company will pick up the freight......... Maybe that is to much for you to understand. unfortuntly i agree that trucking will never be like it used to be. Is that because companys know that they can get desperate people to drive their trucks?????? People need to smarten up and shut cheap azz companys down. :smokin:

This country was built on immigration, how does it cause low wages when we have a federal minimum wage law. Even with the people who are exempt from OT you still have a minimum that needs to be met. Jose crossing over the border legally or illegaly does not effect the trucking wage as they still have to meet some sort of standards to work a DOT Job.

Low wages come from greedy companies.
Low wages come from cheap companies.
Low wages come from people who are willing to do what ever it takes to support their family.

Most immigrants come to our country from third world countries and live quite well on the minimum pay scale as what they had before arriving in the land of opportunity is far less.
