That's because Werner's drivers DID come from the streets, or some back alleyway after a drunken stupor!!

After 6 months with Swift things went from bad to worse.
I got home once a month,my driver manager couldn't manage, the planners are stupid ( they routed me down a NO TRUCKS road, then I had to seek an alternate route, then I got lost stuck in a ditch after backing 2 out of 3 miles while turning around, then fired. I wrecked company equipment ( bent the wink on the tractor). All I can say is swift can suck on my roids.
But I have heard they are letting 1500 drivers go,so they are just looking for excuses.

Hate to tell you man, but it's your responsibility to verify the routing before you go down somewhere you're not supposed to. That routing software's not perfect - FAR from it, and it's common knowledge to double check your directions. That's not the planner's fault - they don't even have anything to do with how you're routed - it's all automated. Calling the local police for advice and help in getting out of sticky situations is always better than driving your rig into a ditch. Just sayin.

Bah... Anyone can drive down the designated truck routes. Real drivers like to go down the roads with 12' overpasses and such. :smokin:

Well, I was out in AZ again since my dad had taken very ill. I had to fly out as it didn't look good. It wasn't. He died on November 21st. I had put in a few apps and talked to a few people at some local companies while I was there, but since I didn't officially "move", they all said they couldn't hire me. Basically, if I want a local job, I have to take a leap of faith, quit the one I have, and move out there and apply. Kind of scary in this current economy, but.....I might do it anyway. Not sure yet, though. Thing is, one of my dad's comments to my mom about three weeks prior to his death was that he felt I should move out there to help take care of her since she's there by herself. I'd kind of like to honor one of his final wishes if I can.

Thanks for asking, and sorry I didn't reply sooner. I just wasn't online much lately.
