I was just in the streakin Beacon last night on 81 near Binghamton NY and watched a TMC truck back around the curve and out the entrance, another TMC seemed to just drive tru the wash bay?? When inside the office I saw a notice on the wall that said they would no longer accept TMC as a charge customer. HHmmmmmm Can you say hard times?

I dont believe your story. You say you saw a flatbedder back around a corner. Flatbed trucks dont even have reverse.

Honestly, with what they have done with rates starting a few years ago, I am surprised that they are still in business. They came in and actually took rates of $2.50-80 and bid them down to $1.35-50 at one of my customers, and that was before the fuel spiked. Let em rot in hell.

We had to learn to back up to get around all the dang O/O's and freight boxes making their own parking places at the fuel stops. Must be to much physical exertion for a door swinger to have to waddle all the way to the buffet from a marked parking spot instead of the fuel pumps or 3 deep around the scales. And I have a quick question, why is it that "drivers" who spend their time backing into docks can't hit a hole in truck stop without being all crooked and taking up 2 or more spots or hitting the truck next to them? Hmmmmmm.

My dad has a construction company and I can tell you he hasn't had any work in over a year. I just hope he can get something b4 he has to fold permanently. Times might be tight for us but they are killing the construction industry.
