I'm sure there is drop pay ($15-$40) and doing intermodal I'm sure you will do several drops a day. If not then it is a raw deal. But I'm sure someone will take it in this economy.
A. It's a job B. It may be all a newbie can get right now C. It keeps the experience current and up to date and will help in getting a job down the road when things pick up. D. The hometime may look good to some. E. May be the perfect opportunity for someone that is semi-retired. F. Perfect opportunities for gluttons of abuse.

I found the SAME job opening on a webpage. harrisburghelpwanted.com Here they actually tell you you will average $850 a week. I dont think they tell you the cpm there. But since its JB I was too afraid to go for that job anyway.

I remember seeing a number of intermodel jobs including that one on the board when I worked for that company. I don't believe the pay was anything like that. I'm thinking misprint. Several intermodel guys I talked to that worked out of Lithia Springs, GA (Atlanta) loved the job. Home every night but they were making $600/week or so. Still, home every night with 2 days off has its advantages

Your right on the pay. The guys pay, as in most driving jobs, went up and down. The people I talked to said the $600 was an average over several months so its a pretty good read on what your going to do. I, personally would never take a job at .25/mile and I don't care what the drop and hooks, stops and other pay was. Drop and hooks and the rest, you can't count on.
