My wife and I are going to be moving to Goodwell, OK in the panhandle. Both Air Products and Groendyke have jobs posted on their websites based out of Liberal, KS (50 miles from Goodwell). I've never visited with drivers from either company and was looking for some input from people who might be familiar with them.
Thanks.

Is it cylinders or cryogenic bulk gases ? Make sure."kicking iron" isn't an easy job. I work for the Linde Group, Air Products main competitor. Bulk transport drivers make between 55-70K depending on where you live and the local pay scales (and how much you wish to work of course..) Usually home every day, 2 days off a week, not necessarily the weekends when starting...like any tanker gig, it's more mental than physical. Cryogenics is fairly easy and you don't get dirty...A 20 lb. hose, open a few valves, start the PTO and open the newspaper and relax...Cylinders on the other hand, are a young man's job...

Groendyke is a good company. A friend of mine works there...in OK, and its been a good gig for him. Can't say I've ever heard any of their drivers complain about the company.

Thought you was looking at Ergon. You should check into their "Crude-haul" gang. I talked with one the other day...he claims $65K a year is common.

Thanks for the replies fellas... Unfortunately, I won't be using any of this information anytime soon.. My wife didn't take the job I thought she was going to take so it looks like I'll be stuck hauling freight for a few more months. Too bad... Looks like that Air Products job would have been a pretty good gig.
