I've been a C.D.L. truck driver for the past fourteen years, but being I haven't been over the road in the past three years no one will hire me except C.R. England.
I've read all the Horror stories about the company on here but being no one else will hire me at this point I don't have much of a choice if I want to be a long haul truck driver. Any advise???

KEEP LOOKING!!!! Never worked for CRE but from what I've heard and from 2 close calls with there drivers/trainee's they really seem to be on the bottom. Ask yourself would working for CRE for a year help me or hurt ?

As a matter of fact I have tried Central, their not hiring anyone but students right now, if you have a CDL they don't want to talk to you, Werner isn't hiring in my area of west Texas where I live, US Xpress isn't hiring in my area, Covenant Transport isn't hiring in my area, TMC I've driven for before, actully it was the last trucking company I worked for three years ago, now their not hiring in my area. The only trucking comapny I've found thus far is CR England that will hire in my area with any recent OTR seat time. I'm hoping something will happen to my benifit in the near future but so far it's not looking very good for me.

Perhaps this is preventing you from getting back in. Have you ask companies what their requirements are? You could even call up SAGE(Devildice went to the one in San Antonio, TX for initial training) and ask for their advice. BOL |
