yeah, that was me. I was there for three months. horrble miles every week. I was N.E. Regional. I went to Celadon, and loved it. I had total knee replacement in December and was out till now. They will rehire me but changed a few policies while I was out. Anyway I start back on the 6th, Just seeing what options are available and to be honest, I was trying to find a carrier that I could keep my pug. He has been with me since he was 10 wks old, has one eye, and a few minor health problems. So I am not really up the creek, Just feel very loyal to a loyal pet. But the bottom line is, I can't pay my bills with a dog, gotta work. Talk to ya'll later.

Don't want to sound mean or uncaring, but I think it's time to get rid of the dog. You can't turn down a very needed job offer just because of a pet. Unless his dog house is big enough for you to move into also.

Yes you are right. Like I said I can't pay the rent with the dog, Gotta work. I start on 6th. Gonna take the dog to my family. I know he will have a good home and at least I can see him once and awhile. It still doesn't make it any easier though, but thats life. I am sure I am not the only one out there making sad choices, but thank God I do have a job offer! It could be alot worse. Drive safe.:surrender:

there are plenty of smaller companies that still allow pets--

more so now that the diesel prices are coming back down somewhat--

you just got to ASK and make more phone calls around

Q1: Do you allow Pets?

Q2: Do you hire out of Carolina?

No? Thank you... have a nice day ( hang up )

C&C out of Duncan, SC hires along the I85 and I95 roads. I feel for you. I moved down to Carolina last fall and had a heck of a time finding a driving job. What a nightmare. I finally took one with JBHunt, DONT DO IT, because it was all i could find and it has sucked the whole time. I am looking now but cant find one yet.

Are you sure they are hiring? A friend of mine's parents drives team for them and I heard they are laying off drivers and are having a hard time keeping the ones they do have busy.

I went back to Celadon. Started on the sixth. Miles suck right now, but that is the economy. I have never had problems before. Already took the dog to my neice. He seems ok. I really miss him. I will get over it. I am a firm believer that all things happen for a reason, we might not ever know why, but there is a reason. Thanks for everyone's help. I really appreciate it.
