Wish I had a '77 Trans Am, black with black interior with a gold screamin' chicken on the hood!

jonp, I will tell you what I know (which ain't much). I see alot of their trucks out here in the west. The equipment seems to be fairly decent.

Told you it wasn't much.

I am guessing you have visited their website.

All I know is I have talked to a few of there drivers and they seemed to be happy. Said they have some headaches but for the most part happy. I talked with a guy about a year or so ago that had just quit them, he said they were a good company but just couldnt get enough miles. He seemed like he was a bit of a complainer though....dont know. thats all I know, thought about going there once or twice but no one ever called so I chose someone else.

Default Transam msg

Here is about TransAm. I drove for them 2 months shy of 3 years. As of this year, they made huge changes well, u could say like the rest of other companies. Trans Am are becoming only 'lease trucking company'. If newbie get a job as a company driver they get to swap more often after waiting hours in meat pack or chicken processing plants. I have swapped with so many of them with few miles for the week. Since I had seniority with the company I never had complaint about miles. But whereas the lease drivers, they get good miles since they have to make payments. So if you want to be a lease driver, it would be good for you but as for the company the quit paying for Physical DOT, u have to hassle to get layover pay, no more company paid trk wash, even free showers at the local trk stop has been denied since 12/2008 by all means, most of the company benefit thrown out of the door. So it doesn't pay to be a company drivers only as a lease driver will u only be happy with them. Warnings! All Trasns Am trk are Automatics. I was so happy with them but it is all in the past now. Good luck, I hope this helps. most drives get few months of experience there and leave....but I stayed.
