You really have to wonder about Yellow and their thinking.
Yellow was a firm, based on the same operating principles as Consolidated Freight.
Lot's of old drivers that have been with them for years and years. Lot's of old equipment. Even their new equipment looked old when it was put on the road.
Then they go and buy up another, similarly structured company......Roadway. In the process, they sold the best part of Roadway..the parcel service that was competing with UPS Ground, to FEDEX.
After that...without assimilating Roadway into Yellow...they run off and buy up portions of TNT and all of USF...which was made up of portions of TNT.
Just exactly how much thought processes did those guys use??
I feel bad for what may happen to the pensioners and the long time drivers that have everything invested with Yellow....but man....What were those managers thinking??
Greed is still alive and well in America.
